We are a video game publisher and developer looking for a Short Form Video Editor to help promote indie games from our publishing portfolio on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. Videos will generally be 10–30 seconds long.
What we expect from you
* Create dynamic, fast-paced edits that focus on interesting and engaging gameplay rather than long, static shots. You can check out the Shorts on our Crytivo channel to get a better idea of the style we’re looking for.
* Record gameplay footage yourself when needed, so you should have a PC capable of recording most modern indie games smoothly. You’ll also regularly work with footage provided directly by game developers.
* Come up with video ideas, choose interesting topics, and write scripts for them.
* Work with voiceovers and music from free libraries or tracks provided by developers, making sure everything complies with the publishing platform’s rules. We can provide access to a voiceover generation service.
* Create automatic subtitles based on the voiceover and make sure they are clear, accurate, and easy to follow.
* Be comfortable making revisions based on feedback. We can agree in advance on a reasonable number of revision rounds for each video.
* Most videos will involve relatively simple but dynamic editing, although some projects may occasionally require more advanced effects or animation. You should also be comfortable using memes, sound effects, and simple visual effects when they fit the video, especially since trends and platform algorithms are constantly changing.
* Meet the deadlines and follow the publishing schedule we agree on together. You’ll be able to choose a workload that feels manageable, but once we agree on the number of videos and delivery dates, we expect the schedule to be followed.
* The content is primarily in English, so you should be able to write short scripts and check English voiceovers and subtitles.

* We’ll support you throughout the process by providing footage, helping with topics or scripts, and sharing feedback when needed. We’re also happy to help you learn new skills if a project requires something you haven’t worked with before.
* You’ll have a fully flexible schedule, since we care much more about the quality of the final result than how many hours you spend working on it.
* If the collaboration goes well, there will be opportunities to increase the payment per video, receive performance-based bonuses, move into a permanent position, or explore other areas of game publishing.
* You’ll have plenty of room to experiment with your own ideas and creative approaches. At the same time, we want to stay practical: if something isn’t producing the results we expected, we should be ready to adjust it, return to approaches that have worked before, or test a different idea.
