7 Digital Labs, a dynamic start-up based in Switzerland, is in search of a highly skilled and experienced Senior Game Designer to join our team on our upcoming Hero Shooter BloodLoop developed on Unreal Engine 5. You will be leveraging your expertise in live services, economy balancing, and game design.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including artists, programmers, and producers to design and implement game systems, mechanics, and features
- Drive the development of in-game economies, ensuring balance, longevity, and player engagement
- Utilise your experience with live services to create compelling post-launch content and events that keep players coming back for more
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation
- Work closely with the leads to define the vision and direction of the game, ensuring alignment with project goals and player expectations
- Apply your expertise in shooter and action games to deliver thrilling and responsive gameplay experiences
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in the gaming industry with a focus on game design
- Proven track record of shipping successful titles, preferably with experience in small scope games and indie studios
- Deep understanding of game economies, monetization strategies, and live service models
- Proficiency in using game engines, in particular Unreal Engine
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for gaming and a keen eye for emerging trends and technologies
