Talofa is seeking a senior UI/UX designer for our new social fitness game in development for about 10-15 hours a week. We’re looking for someone passionate about working with a collaborative remote-first team to develop gameplay around fitness and gaming which is often uncharted and experimental. This individual will work with different team members (producers, artists, client and audio engineers) to build UI/UX for the game and work together with different teams to bring it from ideation to the game. We’re looking for someone to take our beta product through our global launch.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and creating UI/UX assets, wireframes, user flows, and designs for the game by working together with the production, art, audio, narrative, game design and engineering teams
- Understand the high-level vision of the game and be able to translate the vision into UI/UX designs that art, engineering, and game design teams can use
- Communicate and collaborate with different team members in making key design decisions.
- Ensure all completed assets are implemented and optimized for mobile phones on iOS and Android
- Analyze and respond to user and stakeholder feedback instead with solutions to test and validate.
- Attend design and art meetings with multiple members of the team
Requirements:
- 4+ years of professional experience in game UI/UX
- Experience in Figma or similar design tool for maintaining projects
Nice to have:
- Hands-on Unity experience
- Experience with User Research
- A love for running or gamified fitness products and games for social impact
- Understand Blockchain GameFi (P2E) UI/UX patterns
- Strong analytical, communication and presentational skills.
