Talofa is seeking a Lead Game Designer for our new fitness game in development. We’re looking for someone excited about working with a collaborative remote-first team to develop and iterate on gameplay around fitness and gaming. This individual will work with different team members to build game systems, economy, and monetization models from beta to global launch.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the design effort for the game. Understand the high-level vision of the game and be able to translate the vision into design docs that different teams can use.
- Communicate and collaborate with different team members across audio, art, development, narrative, and production in making key design decisions.
- Design free-to-play and blockchain play-to-earn game economies, monetization strategies, and features to improve product KPIs in the long and short term.
- Run design meetings with multiple members of the team and manage prioritization and roadmap planning
- Balancing game difficulties and tuning based on feedback from the team and players
- Provide direction and feedback to other disciplines to ensure the game's core design pillars are being adhered to.
- Collaborate with the production team and create and maintain a calendar of live game events, content, and feature updates designed to improve short and long-term product goals.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of professional experience in mobile game design
- Experience monetizing and operating free-to-play or blockchain play-to-earn multiplayer games in a live environment.
- Experience creating and maintaining large progression systems.
- Experience balancing game economies at a large scale.
- Understanding of Blockchain GameFi (P2E) and token economies
Nice to have:
- A love for running or gamified fitness products and games for social impact
- Hands-on Unity experience
- Strong mathematical, analytical, communication, and presentational skills.

We are a collective of gamers and fitness geeks! We would love to work with someone who has experience with multiplayer mobile games and loves working on experimental gameplay. Being passionate about the intersection of fitness and games is a huge plus! We’re looking for someone to drive the design and monetization of our game during the beta phase as well as through our global launch.
