Senior Game Developer - Permanent Full-Time
If you are an experienced programmer with a passion for games then this is the opportunity you have been looking for! As a recent startup, Star Fort is an exciting place to work with a lot of opportunity for growth. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of challenges, solve interesting problems, be creative, and help define and build a new top-tier game studio in Ottawa.
Responsibilities
Help lead the design and development of our games;
Interface with stakeholders throughout the duration of the project;
Play a substantial role in the day-to-day programming;
Estimate on task durations and help develop the engineering roadmap;
Perform PRs and participate in the management of the programming team;
Mentor junior developers.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience;
- Skilled in Unity and C#;
- Experience with MVC architecture;
- Experience working with UX teams and integrating graphic design;
- Ability to optimize for performance on low-end devices;
- Knowledge of 3D, particle systems and shaders an assets;
- Knowledge of Git;
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience in mobile development;
- Shipped game(s);
- Experience working with external clients;
- Experience leading a programming team.

Star Fort specializes in the development of mobile free-to-play games. We do both client work as well as develop original mobile games. We are always trying to push the envelop of what is possible on mobile in order to bring new fresh experiences to a diverse audience of players.
