2D Game Artist/Illustrator - Contract & Permanent Full-Time (Remote-First Company)
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Concept and create high-quality 2D art assets for iOS and Android games, including characters, props, and backgrounds and marketing materials.
- Work with the dev team to develop and integrate assets, adhere to art and game design guidelines, mockup ideas to visualize final in-game expectations, create art assets to match a variety of themes and styles.
- Work on more than one project at a time, managing timelines and requirements.
Requirements
- Excellent 2D art and design skills, for concepting, in game assets and illustration
- Skilled with Adobe suite of software, including Illustrator and Photoshop
- Versatile art style: the ability to create art to match a variety of styles and themes
- Understanding of technical limitations for game art assets and art asset integration
- Experience working on mobile games

About Star Fort
Star Fort Games was founded in 2019 by Robert Warren and Toma Feizo Gas, two Ottawa games industry veterans who joined forces to create innovative mobile games. This pair is passionate about leveraging their knowledge and expertise to help grow and mentor their small core team of developers and artists into a studio known for creating unique experiences that engage players where they like to play.
Star Fort specializes in the development of mobile free-to-play games. We do both client work as well as develop original mobile games. We are always trying to push the envelop of what is possible on mobile in order to bring new fresh experiences to a diverse audience of players.
