Job Description
What you will be doing at RPL:
- Collaborate with game designers, UI artists, and game engineers to implement robust User Interface for gameplay features
- Write modular, well-structured runtime code, which is also reasonably optimized for performance
- Taking an idea from start to finish on your own
- Prototyping, and able to quickly sketch out ideas before diving into implementation
- Implements, integrates and optimizes online systems, services and tools
- Interface between server engineers to develop features and services
- Develops presentation features such as in-game messages, in-game cameras, as well as particle effects and audio triggers
Qualifications
Who you are:
- Strong practical knowledge of the F2P business model and mechanics.
- 5+ years of development experience for mobile games. (Unity)
- Shipped multiple titles, and have led at least one title as a Dev Lead.
- Analytical thinking and passion for data driven decision making
- Great communication skills that supports an open working environment in terms of feedback
- Strong teamwork skills, but also the ability to take ownership and work independently
- Detail oriented, organized, and able to meet project deadlines
- Passion for making games that look and play great.
- Demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering practices and development methodologies; specifically, Agile / Scrum
Technical Expertise:
Experience in object-oriented design and implementation
Experience with a game engine such as Unreal, Unity or Frostbite.
Proficiency with C++
Strong knowledge of 3D math
Strong debugging skills
Ability to test, debug, and extend other Software Engineer's code competently
