Our DNA is made up of former employees of Telltale Games, Night School Studio and Ubisoft having written and directed such games as Tales From the Borderlands, The Wolf Among Us, The Walking Dead, and Minecraft: Story Mode. About the Role
AdHoc Studio is searching for a Junior Writer with an interest in interactive narrative to contribute to the creative development of an internal project. The job will require working closely with other writers, designers, and directors, creating playable stories and exploring new ways to tell them. The position does not require previous industry experience, just samples of written work with an ear for dialog and the patience and willingness required to learn on the job.

Responsibilities:
- Write dialog and scenes as assigned
- Take and collate notes as needed
- Collaborate across disciplines to identify and deliver writing needs
- Match the tone set by a lead writer
- Contribute ideas and pitches in writers’ rooms
Requirements:
- Ability to give and take criticism in a professional manner
- Positive and self-driven attitude with the ability to participate in a collaborative environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferable Experience:
- Experience working remotely
- Knowledge of interactive narrative games
- Experience writing in comedy
- A passion for better representation in games and game development

Please include a 10 page writing sample with an emphasis on strong scenes featuring dialog. Feel free to use those 10 pages however you like i.e one 4 page scene and one 6 page scene, or one 10-page excerpt, etc.
Comedic writing samples are encouraged, though not required.
